VISITORS Parkfield killed off Ruberoid Sutton's game at New Street on Saturday.
On a great batting track Sutton won the toss and decided to have a knock. Mike Rimmer made 40 and Bapa Mukherjee 50 not out as Sutton made 199-4 declared in 40 overs.
Parkfield, though, decided that this was a bit much and completely killed the game from ball one as they finished on 76-6 in 47 overs sending the supporters to sleep.
The Second XI played at Parkfield and lost the toss so fielded first. Parkfield batted well and made 188-6 declared with skipper Mark Reynolds being the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. Sutton then batted but were never up with the required rate and finished on 105-6 to draw the game.
The Third XI played Highfield away. A strong home team made 247 in their 40 overs with Sutton holding on for a draw at 100-9 with Ste Moss, Danny Appleton and Jimmy Clarke all doing well.
