A GREAT golfing challenge is moving into extra time.

The third Pilkington Recs annual golf classic was due to be staged at Eccleston Park Golf Club on Wednesday, August 16.

But many players would have been forced to miss the pupular competition through holidays and other commitments.

So a new date has now been set.

Players will tee off on Wednesday, September 13.

With Super League stars already promising to take part, players are invited to make up a team or guests, either with a celebrity and three guests or four guests. The cost is £140 per team - but individuals can be included into a team at £40 a head. The day includes coffee and lunch on arrival; competitors' gift pack and bag tags; shot gun start, prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive; a hot buffet in the clubhouse after the round; entertainment by a leading comedian; prize presentation.
