TRANSPORT Police are trying to identify a man whose body was found on the railway line near to Thatto Heath Station at the weekend.
The body was spotted by the driver of a Liverpool-Blackpool train at about 8.30am on Sunday, July 30.
The man, who was white, aged 50 to 70 years and 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, was wearing blue Wrangler training shoes, blue jogging bottoms, a white T-shirt under a blue shirt and a patterned cardigan.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said that there didn't appear to be any suspicious circumstances but they were investigating the incident and would be submitting a report to the coroner.
