WORK on the Cables retail Park development at Prescot is near completion.
The main building work on the new Tesco superstore was finished on July 24 and the retailer is now fitting out the 6,260 square metre unit.
Other retailers already signed up include Poundstretcher, What Everyone Wants and Famous Brunswick Warehouse.
The remaining units of between 700 square metres and 1,160 square metres will provide a varied retail mix. Inquiries relating to these units can be directed to the company's letting agents, Cheetham and Mortimer on 0161 832 3375 or to the developers, Brookhouse Group, at their head office on 0161 976 6105.
The former BICC site had been derelict for several years. Further development on Phase Two is now in the pipeline and a planning application has been submitted for up to 16,000 square metres of retail space.
Brookhouse already have outline consent on Phase Three of the development for 7,500 square metres of leisure development, for which it is "actively seeking interest from potential end users."
