MUSIC-lovers are being asked to dig out their musical memorabilia from the 30s, 40s and 50s.
The appeal has come from eight-piece dance band Jazz it Up! who are getting ready for an exciting concert at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall.
The musicians need stories, photographs, memories and memorabilia for an exhibition being displayed in the foyer before their concert. Nicola Dufty, who sings with the band, said: "We'd love to hear from anyone who has a tale to tell -- whether it's memories of a special concert, photographs, or they've met one of the greats like Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald. "We'd particularly like to hear about past events at the Philharmonic Hall," she added. Jazz It Up's concert is being held on Friday September 22, from 7.30pm, and will include a lively programme of foot-tapping popular cocktail tunes from the golden age of jazz.
Music on the programme includes That Ol' Devil Called Love, Mack The Knife, Lady Is A Tramp, In The Mood, and It Had To Be You. Tickets cost £10 (concessions available) and can be booked from the Philharmonic Hall Box Office on 0151 709 3789.
If you can help in any way with the exhibition, please ring Nicola Dufty on 0771 9108767.
