NOW that summer's here, the outside decorating beckons, but we are leaving the upstairs window until the autumn.
The reason? We have some nesting swifts under the eaves and I hope people will overlook the droppings, but the joy of life is going on over our heads.
If the birds are disturbed in any way they might abandon the nest, leaving their young behind.
And our reward? They sing to us beautifully in the mornings.
