BLACKBURN Rovers keeper Alan Kelly today declared himself fit for Saturday's opening league clash against Crystal Palace.
The Republic of Ireland international couldn't even remember the name of his dog at the weekend after being knocked unconscious by a challenge during the second half of Rovers' friendly against St Patrick's in Dublin.
But the former Sheffield United ace has now made a full recovery.
And, subject to a precautionary medical check from the club doctor today, he was hoping to get back in training and resume his battle with John Filan for the number one jersey.
"I'm feeling fine now and I'm hoping to start training again today," said Kelly.
"But I can't remember a thing about what happened on Saturday.
"The last thing I remember is running out onto the pitch at half-time.
"Then I came round again about 45 minutes after the incident.
"But I must have been out of it because they kept asking me the name of my dog and I couldn't remember.
"I'm always talking about it so they knew it would be a good test."
Kelly has a French Bulldog called Eric the Red -- after Eric Cantona -- which he has previously shown at Crufts.
