CELEBRITY items including a Daniel O'Donnell waistcoat, a Ken Dodd tickling stick and a shorts from athletics hero Brendan Foster will be up for grabs during a silent auction in aid of Colne Parish Church.
Church members Cath Stead and Margaret Watson have been collecting unusual items for months ready for the big night on Friday.
Hundreds of items will be up for bids at the Exchange Street schoolrooms, Colne, from 4pm to 9pm.
Contributors include William Hague, John Major, David Beckham, Frank Skinner, Prince Haseem, Willie Carson, Ian Botham, Tom Jones, Betty Boothroyd and Carol Vorderman.
A similar auction two years ago raised more than £1,000, and Cath and Margaret are hoping for a similar amount this time.
"Cath puts a lovely letter together, and we've just written to people asking for their help," said Margaret.
"The Royal Mail is very good. If we didn't know the right address the letter seemed to get to the right person anyway.
"We had a very good success rate. People were very willing to contribute items. We also asked local businesses to get involved and they've been very good indeed.
"What we need now is lots of people to come along on Friday and dig deep into their pockets."
The money raised will go to church funds. Admission to the auction is 50p.
