SIX people, including three fire fighters, escaped with minor injuries after an accident in Bury on Thursday night (Aug 3).
The fire appliance from Whitefield was turning out to a fire alert at Bury General Hospital when it was in collision with a Range Rover at the Moorgate junction with Walmersley Road. Traffic lights at the junction were also demolished in the crash.
The Range Rover driver, Mrs Helen Greensmith (31) and her two young children, all from Castlefield Road, Birtle, Bury, were taken to hospital for treatment for minor bruising. They were not detained.
The three fire fighters also suffered minor bruising but all declined hospital treatment.
The 8pm fire alert at the hospital was a false alarm.
