BURY soccer star Gary Neville is giving his support to athletes who will raise sponsorship for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign during the Manchester Marathon.
The Manchester United and England defender has agreed to be present at a runners' reception to personally meet and be photographed with everyone who runs for the charity.
Charity regional officer, Charles Horton, said: "I am indebted to Gary Neville for his involvement.
"Anyone who has already entered, or who is considering entering the race on Sunday, October 8, is invited to take part and raise sponsorship for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign."
He went on: "We have some great rewards for runners and the chance to meet a top class football star."
Anyone who would like further information on how to take part and to raise sponsorship should contact the charity's regional office on 01244 403012.
