ON Tuesday, July 25, I witnessed an incident under the bridge on Dove Lane, Darwen, that sickened and disgusted me. It made me feel ashamed to be human.
A group of teenagers had hold of a baby pigeon by its wing and they were trying to slam it on to the road surface, probably hoping a passing car would run over it.
What is wrong with them? What did that pigeon do to those yobbos?
Were they responsible for the one that was dead already -- probably the mother?
Hang your heads in shame, you low-lives and hope that you never suffer like the pigeon you were hurting. You disgust me and all others who care for other life forms.
And, yes, the pigeon is alive and recovering and will, hopefully, return to the wild -- happy and free.
