BLACKBURN Road Runners held their six-monthly presentation evening at the Queen Victoria at Tockholes when 23 athletes were presented with certificates after beating club standards for the first time.
Anne Harwood won the highest honour, a diamond standard, for her performance in January's Four Villages Half Marathon when she ran 1:57:13 at the age of 55. Cloth badges are awarded to runners who reach a standard in four of the five distances from 5 miles to marathon. Brenda Fullard and Sandra Snape won gold badges while Julian Markham and Claire Eastwood won silver and bronze respectively.
