HOW would you like to have your Web site judged as the world's best by the likes of David Bowie (pictured, right) or Francis Ford Coppola?
Well you can if you enter the Webby Awards, the primo international for the tri-w.
The fifth annual awards will be held next summer, and organisers the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences are now asking for nominations.
The academy numbers Messrs Bowie and Coppola among its 370 members, together with the likes of comedienne Sandra Bernhard and Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle.
Categories this year are best spirituality site, best government and law site, activism, arts, community, commerce, education, fashion, film, finance, games, health, humour, living, music, news, personal web sites, politics, print and 'zines, science, sports, technical achievement, TV, travel, and weird.
Sites are judged on the basis of content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity, and overall experience.
So click along to the site and nominate your favourite site (which will be, of course, This is Lancashire; we would come under the news or community section). You can also check out past winners, and most of them are well worth a look.
