BEALEY Community Hospital's annual garden party was a blazing success.
Sunny weather ensured a record turn-out of more than 200 visitors for Saturday's (Aug 5) fund-raiser, which was organised by the hospital's League of Friends. Besides all the usual stalls there were plenty of games and even a fortune teller.
The event raised £1,300 which will be used to benefit patients.
League of Friends chairman Mr Harold Tonge said: "I would like to offer our sincere thanks to all those organisations which supported us and to the public."
The event was officially opened by Mr Monty Adler of Radcliffe and Whitefield Lions, which donated £200 to the hospital.
