MOTORISTS face diversions for three evenings early next week at Junction 18 of the M60 at Simister.
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on Sunday, August 13, to 5.30am the following day for the installation of detector loops.
Drivers will be diverted by signs from the M62 Junction 19 at Heywood to return to Junction 18 along the westbound M62.
Link roads within the junction, where the M60 meets the M62 and M66, will also be closed to traffic on Monday and Tuesday, August 14 and 15, as part of the improvement of Junction 18.
The link from the westbound M62 to the northbound M66 will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am on both nights and there will be no access from Junction 18 to Junction 19 (Rhodes) of the M60.
A clearly signed diversion will operate via M60, Junction 17 at Prestwich, and traffic will also be diverted via the M66 northbound at Junction 3 at Pilsworth.
