WEDDING Belles chimed-in just when bride Kim Seddon's happiest day looked likely to turn to tears.
Kim was stunned when caterers called to say they couldn't provide the buffet she wanted to follow her wedding this afternoon to Anthony Jones.
But Kim, of Atherton Road, Hindley Green was totally unprepared for the next blow when her wedding gown and three bridesmaids dresses went up in flames in Leigh's £1 million Boulevard blaze.
Kim told The Journal : "I'd taken the dresses to be altered by a seamstress in the shopping centre. I couldn't believe it when I was told all the dresses had gone up in smoke."
Sorrowful Kim met a brick wall in trying to find last minute replacements until Jenny Curry of Tyldesley's Wedding Belles heard of her plight and rushed to the rescue.
Kim, who works at The Tanning Studio in Shuttle Street, Tyldesley, explained: "Jenny has been marvellous. She certainly saved the day. We can't thank her enough."
Wedding Belles' proprietor Jenny, who forsook a holiday, opening up specially to save the day, said: "I couldn't leave her stuck and stranded on such an important occasion.
"After such a catastrophe I was glad to be able to provide replacement gown and bridesmaids dressed and make her smile."
And neighbouring beautician Beverly Dawn added to the joy by volunteering to make sure Kim and her mum look the tops for Friday afternoon's wedding when Kim married Anthony, of Shelley Street, Leigh at Leigh Town Hall.
