A STEEL firm is consolidating its presence in Bury.
William Hare Ltd is severing its ties with Bolton just two years after it closed its manufacturing plant in the town.
The company is relocating its administrative head office to Brandlesholme in Bury.
Hare's already has a manufacturing plant in Bury on Castlecroft Road.
More than 150 people will move to the new site. A further 30 people based at the Castlecroft Road plant will also move. The firm says that no jobs will be lost.
The structural engineering company has been based in Bolton for 50 years and it opened its plant in Bury in 1978.
David Schofield, the firm's secretary and a director, said: "By moving the offices to Bury, we can be closer to our manufacturing plant.
"The new place is more spacious and offers us better facilities."
He said the move will be complete "within the next few weeks."
