BURY site manager Allen Bradshaw has scooped a prestigious NHBC "Pride in the Job" quality award for the third time.

Allen, who lives in Walshaw, is a site manager for Harwood Homes and the award is one of the highest accolades the NHBC can give to someone holding such a position.

It recognises his hard work, commitment and expertise at Calderbrook Court in Cheadle and puts him in the ranks of the top 400 site managers in the country.

He is among 14 Redrow Group site managers presented with the award this year, and all will now compete for a coveted "Seal of Excellence." Allen joined Harwood Homes (North West) two years ago after working in the construction industry since he left school.

The Bury man was first made an assistant site manager when he was aged 23 and until he joined Harwood worked with housebuilders throughout the North West.

Allen first won the award in 1988 and picked up the second one last year.

"I was delighted when I found out I'd won again," he said.

"The award doesn't just recognise my hard work but that of the whole team at Calderbrook Court and is an honour for us and the company as a whole."

Allen is married to Melanie and the couple have a son and daughter.

Paul Lawton, construction manager for Harwood Homes (North West) said: "This award is highly recognised within the industry and highlights the hard work and commitment of our site managers and their teams.

"They play a very important role in ensuring our customers receive the highest standards of construction and customer care."
