BURY'S first team produced a massive upset by beating a very powerful Peoples/White Swan side in a Manchester Summer League Cup fixture.
Peoples, one of the strongest clubs in the North West, heavily outgraded the Bury team on every board.
However, Bury were not intimidated and went through to the next round due to fabulous wins from Keith Evans, Roy Wild and Sandor Matala.
In addition, the club stalwart, Bernard Sharples showed real team spirit by agreeing a draw in a better position in order to finalise the win for the team.
