BRAVE Leigh man Harry Tomlinson was this week busy at work on his farm -- while his attacker was beginning a life sentence behind bars.
Despite suffering brain damage after being left for dead by robber Gary Monks, the elderly farmer has vowed to continue selling eggs and flowers from the side of the East Lancs Road.
He tried to fight off the thug during the attack last August and was praised by a judge for his "sheer guts and courage".
Monks, 43, meanwhile, originally from Tyldesley, is beginning a life prison sentence.
