I WAS appalled to read last week's front page (August 3) regarding a proposed mobile phone mast in Ashton.
When will the public be privy to ALL the information regarding alleged radiation risks?
It seems to me we are all having the wool pulled over our eyes. The government and different mobile phone companies seem to be peddling contradicting information regarding radiation levels.
I suppose at the end of the day it's pure economics -- plain and simple. The use of mobile phones has rocketed over the last two years, with more and more youngsters walking the streets with a phone permanently attached to their ear.
I think Preston council should take a stance and seriously consider what is more important -- health or profits.
