POLICE in Blackpool are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the shoulder in broad daylight.
The incident happened at around 4pm on July 31 when a man was walking along Condor Grove in Blackpool and was stopped by two men. The men asked him for money but he refused and carried on his way.
The pair followed him and stabbed him in the shoulder before making off. The first attacker is described as in his early 20s, 5ft with very short cropped black hair, wearing jeans and a black coat. The second was also early 20s, 5ft 8ins with cropped dyed blonde hair. He wore jeans and a Chinos coat. Both men were described as "fairly well built".
AT around 11.30pm on July 31 a man left a pub on Queens Promenade in Blackpool and was stopped by two strangers wanting money. When the man refused the pair beat him to the ground, possibly with the help of another man. The victim suffered a fractured cheekbone and numerous cuts and bruises. All were males in their early 20s, around 5ft 10ins and medium build. A THIEF stole £1,000 from an old lady's handbag after sneaking into her house on Highbury Road East in St Annes at around 2pm on Saturday July 29. He was seen in an old Ford Escort car speeding off along Dobson Road. The man was white, aged around 30, 5ft, slim with short blond hair. He may also have been wearing a smart suit.
THREE youths threatened to stab a young man if he didn't hand over his gold jewellery in Gorton Street, Blackpool, on July 29. They made off with a chain and a square ring with a blue centre. All were aged around 18. One was 5ft 9ins, thin, with short brown hair and wearing wire rimmed glasses. Another was 5ft 7ins, medium build, wearing a black baseball cap with white motif and also wore wire frames glasses. There is no further description for the third male.
