I HAD the pleasure of attending the recent "Musicals of the Millennium" concert at Bolton.
It was a wonderful evening with the Halle Orchestra, The English Concert Chorus and four superb soloists, among them Whitefield's Deborah Myers.
My mind went back to probably her first steps to stardom and fame, and the opportunity given to her by local impresario Sonny Warner MBE.
It was Sonny's sister who first introduced Sonny to Debbie when she was just 23-years-old after hearing her singing in the garden.
As a member of "The Sonny Warner Show" for nearly 40 years, I have seen many talented people move on to professional careers and it is always a thrill to see them rise on the ladder to fame.
