FOLK tales and fairy stories will be the order of the day for children at Central and Chester Lane libraries on Thursday, August 10.
Visiting storyteller Fran O'Boyle will be in residence in the children's section regaling youngsters with Celtic legends and enthralling them with traditional tales.
The event is part of a summer schedule of entertainment lined up for the local libraries by St Helens Council.
There will be a session for children up to the age of eight between 10.30 and 11.15am, and those aged eight and over will be catered for between 11.30am and 12.30pm, with room for 40 children in each session.
In the afternoon there will be sessions for children up to the age of eight at Chester Lane Library, Sutton Manor, between 2 and 2.45pm. Children under eight years must be accompanied by an adult.
