ELDERLY residents on a Pendle housing estate got the message to "get active" as young people on a Prince's Trust course entered their final team challenge.
The Trust volunteers organised a day of activities for pensioners on the North Valley estate, Colne, as part of the 12-week course aimed at building their skills and confidence.
The events at the estate community centre included bingo, a raffle, ballroom dancing, and a buffet lunch.
"The aim was to give both the elderly and our generation the chance to socialise with each other and to help break the barriers between us all," said team member Denice Heath, 19.
Other members of the team were Craig Allott, Brendan Burton, Sian Cooper, Caroline Daley, Neil Heagin, Jenny Humphreys, Jenni Morton, Robin Philpott, Leon Riley, Paul Simpson, Greg Sutcliffe and Gemma Wilkinson.
