A YOUNG female shop assistant and a customer were threatened by knife wielding thugs during an armed robbery in Unsworth, Bury, on Friday (Aug 11).
Two masked men, brandishing large kitchen knives, burst into Eton's Newsagents in Parr Lane at 1.50pm and demanded cash from the till.
The raiders grabbed £70 from the till before escaping in a black Ford Fiesta. The shop assistant and customer were unharmed although shaken by the ordeal.
Both thugs are described as white males and approximately 5ft 5 inches tall.
Whitefield CID is investigating the robbery and witnesses should contact detectives on 0161 856 8248.
