I DON'T know if I was alone in finding the 'contrived tension' of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire a hoot.
I could not come to terms with the fact that, as viewers, we were expected to find the tension genuine.
It had me in stitches, but there is a limit to any joke and one programme was enough for me.
I am fast coming to the conclusion that the next TV programme maker who comes up with an original idea will be dragged out, put up against a wall and shot.
It has reached the stage where I'm almost on tenterhooks awaiting the arrival of the third and, heaven forbid, the subsequent 'contrived tension' spun out, one question per five minutes, quiz -- now that is real tension.
