HURRAH and huzzah! Rovers have won, the Clarets have held the Trotters to a draw, the Shakers actually won away and Roy Keane has been unfairly picked on by a biased ref for the sin of playing for the Mighty Man United.
Yes, the football season is well and truly back with us, and to mark this auspicious occasion we have improved and augmented our online footie coverage on This is Lancashire.
Until last season, we just carried the news and match reports as they happened -- from now on you'll get that and much, much more.
As well as news being updated up to four times a day on Rovers and Burnley, we also have fixtures, information on other division one teams, league tables and squad profiles.
And, as the season progresses, the fixture lists will turn into a match report archive, with not only the match reports but a wealth of other stats and information, match marks, and quotes from managers and players.
The opening matches are already archived; other fixtures lead to club information about the opponents throughout the season, including ground capacities, close-season transfer details and title odds.
But that's not all -- we want to give you, the fans, more and more and more. Have a look at the improved sites and then tell us any other improvements you would like to see; the best ideas will be promptly nicked and adopted on to the site.
So let us know what you think; I'll even tear myself away from www.manutd.com for a couple of minutes and read your e-mails if you do.
The links below take you to the main news pages, where you can use the index menu to find your way around the rest of the site.
