CAN you provide a purr-fect home for some four-legged friends? If so, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary wants to hear from you.
Over recent weeks the Edenfield-based animal shelter has been inundated with unwanted cats and dogs. And the situation is likely to get worse as the breeding season gets under way.
At the last count the sanctuary, which is run by charitable donations, was looking after 50 cats and kittens.
Desperate to be rehoused are the felines , mother and son Blackie and nine-week-old Katalena, who have to be housed together.
And the two dogs Goldie and Sandie who can't bear to be parted but would love a new home.
The Labradors, both aged 10, have been at Bleakholt for only a couple of weeks after family circumstances meant their owners could no longer look after them.
If you can help then contact the sanctuary on 01706822577 or visit the shelter Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.
