A MAN and a woman are being sought by police after they stole from a Greenmount pensioner.
The duo, who are both said to be in their 30s, approached the 77-year-old woman as she sat in the garden of her Holcombe Road home on Saturday afternoon (Aug 13).
While the female distracted the pensioner, the male entered the house and stole a purse containing £65 in cash and a bus pass.
The female is described as white, 5ft 2 inches tall, 30-40 years, plumpish, with brown hair tied back possibly in a small bun. She was wearing dark tracksuit trousers gathered at the bottom, blue and white trainers and a short-sleeved black T-shirt.
Her male accomplice is also white, 5ft 10 inches tall, of a similar age, slim and clean shaven. He wore a dark coloured baseball cap, light coloured trousers, a red check shirt and black shoes.
If anyone has any information about the incident contact Bury CID on 0161 856 8150 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
