THE Bury Times Motor Show and Gala Day 2000 moved into top gear at the weekend.
And the cars certainly emerged as the stars during Sunday's (Aug 13) event, which attracted more than 1,000 visitors to Bury FC's ground.
Many local dealerships were represented at the Motor Show which proved an ideal platform to display the latest models.
The gleaming cars took pride of place outside and attracted admiring glances from potential buyers.
And there was also an opportunity for visitors to win a car, courtesy of Dixon Ford.
At the same time, a number of businesses took out stands at an indoor exhibition which showcased their products and services, primarily geared towards the motor trade.
Visitors to Gigg Lane were entertained by Bury rock group "Aurora" and a number of footballers from Bury FC mingled with the crowds during a "Meet the Players" event.
And pictured admiring a Peugeot 206 replica rally car are team members (from left) Glyn Garner, Lee Connell, Jason Jarrett and Steve Halford.
Other vehicles which attracted attention were vans and a JCB excavator, displayed by Bury Van Hire.
Bury's Road Safety Unit was also represented at the event which, because of its success, is set to be repeated next year.
