BURY-based Swinnerton Brothers are offering "canny" youngsters the opportunity to earn extra pocket money during the school holidays.
The business, based in York Street, is encouraging them to collect valuable aluminium drink cans for recycling.
And as well as raising valuable funds, collectors will also be doing their bit to help protect the environment.
During the next six weeks, more than half a billion aluminium drink cans be sold all over the UK.
Based on the intrinsic value of the can, if they were all to be collected then more than £3 million would be paid to the collectors.
Swinnerton say the hotter the weather, the more cans will be sold and the more money available to collectors.
The company stress there couldn't be a better time to start collecting aluminium drink cans. There are more on the market this year with seven out of ten drinks cans being made out of valuable aluminium.
