BURY'S MFI furniture store has helped provide a new £6,000 kitchen for North Manchester General Hospital.
The kitchen comes complete with a set of Bosch appliances, courtesy of MFI and MFI Homeworks stores in the area.
Furniture stores in Bury, Ashton, Altrincham, Bolton, Cheetham Hill, Crewe, Rochdale and Stockport teamed-up to donate the top-selling Monza kitchen by Schreiber to the hospital's Homewood rehabilitation unit.
This unit helps patients recovering from neurological disorders, such as strokes, regain their independence before going back home.
Karen Jackson, unit manager, said: "We are very grateful to MFI Homeworks for this kind donation. It is not only practical, but a very beautiful kitchen as well and it will help us to provide the best care for the patients in the Homewood unit."
Peter O'Rourke, MFI Homeworks area sales manager, said: "Homewood unit at the North Manchester General Hospital provides a valuable service to the people in the area and we are proud to be able to make a contribution."
