JUST a short note in response to the article "Sleaze and vulgarity in Blackpool today." Over the past ten years, ourselves and other hoteliers have complained about the depressing carrying on of groups of males and females.
There is often drunken, often aggressive behaviour. However, when complaints have been made to councillors and officials the reply has been that we are knocking the town and biting the hand that feeds us.
After pointing out that Europe will not put up with such conditions and reacts by vigorously enforcing the laws, a deafening silence follows. It is our belief that big business, in the guise of breweries, nightclubs etc, have more influence, so things continue on a downward trend.
