I AM writing about the closure of the homes for the elderly and also the day centres.
Firstly, the day centres. A few people who attend have had letters saying they owe between £300 and £500. Some of these people have paid by direct debit and others by stamps they got from the post office.
What are they playing at? Where has the money gone? These people are very upset, getting letters after they have already paid.
Next, I would like to mention again about the closure of the homes. Now Blackpool has got the money for regeneration, maybe some of this could be put to what needs to be done to the homes instead of uprooting the elderly to a strange environment.
