A CAT lover whose family pet escaped from a house in Windle last month is repeating her appeal for information leading to his safe return. Audrey Hartley, from Bolton, has already called for Star readers' help in tracing her pedigree cat, Basil, who has been missing since July 11 when he escaped from Audrey's relative's home in Lawrence Road where he had been staying while the family was away.
One-year-old Basil is a British Cream Short Hair and predominantly cream-coloured with ginger markings. He has a bushy tale and amber eyes and wasn't wearing a collar when he escaped.
Audrey said: "We had quite a few calls in response to the Star's first article but although we followed them up, they all turned out to be false alarms. We are not giving up though because people have been really supportive and we are still offering a reward to anyone who can help us trace Basil."
IF you see a cat matching Basil's description, you can contact Audrey on 01204 690161.
