NINE St Helens girls were representing the town in the BAA Millennium Youth Games in Southampton this week.
They were competing in the Tag Rugby Event and are all members of Liverpool St Helens Rugby Football Club.
The nine strong team is: Helen Callaghan (Rainford High School), Rachel Finnan (Rainford High), Cara Smith (St Edmund Arrowsmith), Danielle Gibbons (Rainford High), Gemma Smith (Sutton Community High School), Laura Richardson (De La Salle), Katherine Deade, Lisa Worley and Michelle Roberts (all Sutton Community High). Team Manager is Mel Saer.
The girls qualified by winning at the Littlewoods Merseyside Youth Games in St Helens last month and represent the whole of Merseyside at the Games.
