THE new fence around Hazlehurst Primary School playing field in Ramsbottom has made the school look like a prison and is much too high.
And if it seems high to me as an adult, imagine what it looks like to a four-year-old pupil on the inside looking out!
I have a five-year-old at Hazlehurst and I feel it is not only an ugly fence, it is also sharp, dangerous and unsuitable for a primary school.
There is no vandalism at this school and the area in which it is situated does not warrant such a fence, or the expense of it. Local children do no harm, they only want to play and the field is safe for them.
