POLICE in St Helens are appealing for two women who took a taxi home in the early hours of Sunday, July 16, to contact them.
The women got into a Delta cab in Claughton Street at about 3am, but a man whom they didn't know got in after them and after an argument, they agreed to drop the man off at the corner of Cambridge Road and Kitchener Street in St Helens.
However, the taxi driver was later subjected to a serious assault and police would like to ask the two women if they have any information.
Calls will be treated with the strictest confidence and if you are one of the women, contact DC Paul Ford at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6064.
