BLACKBURN Rovers Academy team won the Jersey Tournament 2000 last night -- then immediately dedicated their victory to the memory of Jack Walker.
In a strirring fight-back, Rovers beat Sporting Lisbon 3-2, after coming back from 2-0 down, thanks to a last minute winner from Ben Burgess.
Playing their third game in as many days, Rovers looked lethargic in the first half and trailed to a sixth minute strike from Vasco Matos.
And Lisbon, who beat ManchesterUnited on Saturday, then looked to have the trophy in the bag when Matos bagged his second three minutes after half time.
But the introduction of substiute Ryan Baldacchino turned the game.
He teed-up Neil Danns on 53 minutes and Marc Richards grabbed Rovers' equaliser with 13 minutes left.
Then, in an exciting finale, Baldacchino was the architect again, crossing for Burgess to side-foot the winner.
They qualified for the final by beating Benfica on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
Blackburn were only required to take four spot-kicks and they scored them all through Lee Hardy, Ben Burgess, Peter Murphy and substitute Neil Danns.
