MORE of the borough's talented youngsters will have stars in their eyes tomorrow night, (Wednesday Aug 23).
They will be competing in the second heat of a prestigious contest to promote local musical excellence.
The Power Sound 2000 competition is being held at Radcliffe Civic Suite, with no fewer than 18 acts fighting it out for the £250 top prize.
Tomorrow night's heat features a series of tribute singers. The eight hopefuls are P6, Candice Marchrones/Becki Bellamy, Vicky Marsden, Olivia Van Den Bergten, Franchy G, Jorden Hart, Rego, and Oliver Kraweckyj.
The third heat is next Wednesday, August 30, and the final is on September 2. The organisers hope that some talent spotters from the music industry will be there to snap up the most promising acts. Rock bands Tyburn and Coercion have already booked their places in the final.
Doors open at 7pm, and admission is £2.50.
