A SOLICITOR from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of supplying stolen property as part of a long running investigation.
Officers from Lancashire police's Major Crime Unit arrested the solicitor after carrying out raids on addresses in Oldham and Blackburn yesterday afternoon.
The solicitor, who lives in Blackburn, but is understood not to practise in Lancashire, is being held at Accrington police station. He is being questioned on suspicion of supplying stolen property.
A spokesman for Lancashire police said: "A man was arrested yesterday as a result of Operation Wichita, a long running investigation involving officers from Lancashire Constabulary's major crime unit.
"The man was arrested after a number of search warrants were executed at addresses in Blackburn and Oldham at 1.30pm yesterday."
