NOT even Sceptic Peg could have predicted what a bumper event the garden party at St Aidan's Church, Blackburn, was going to be!
The makeshift mystic, alias Pam Nolan, was one of the attractions at the Mill Hill church party which attracted over 200 people.
The garden party has become an annual event in the church calendar and this year proceeds were trebled at almost £1,500.
Vicar's wife Barbara Fishwick was on the committee of organisers.
She said: "A lot of hard work was put into the event and some determined advertising.
"It paid off and it was a huge success both financially and from an entertainment point of view."
Attractions included stalls, pony rides and the fun mystic who read palms and a crystal ball.
Mrs Fishwick said: "We had some very generous donations and I would like to thank everyone who helped make the day such an occasion."
