ROCHDALE boss Steve Parkin is already anticipating the return leg at Ewood Park two weeks on Wednesday.
"We're all looking forward to the trip. They have had a sad week, losing Jack Walker. He did some tremendous things for the club and we will see some of that when we arrive at Ewood Park.
"It will be a pleasure for our players to play there."
Dale have not yet won in the Third Division and Parkin felt it was going to be the same old story at Spotland.
"It's been the same so far this season. We've had possession and chances but just haven't turned them into goals.
"I was beginning to think a goal would never come but Tony Ford showed his experience by waiting and then chipping to the far post, drawing the keeper out, and the other old man Tony Ellis put it in the net," laughed the 34-year-old.
"Neil Edwards had some difficult saves to make in the first half. Blackburn were difficult to stop at times with the quality they have but we just kept pegging away and got our reward.
"I know Dave Flitcroft certainly enjoyed the game. Dave and Garry come from a very close family but you could see there was no love lost on the field.
"But I'm sure they'll have had a drink in the bar after the game.
"It was a good battling performance by Dave, but Garry did the same as well. I'm sure those two are ready to battle it out again in the second leg."
