MY memory of Jack was on the day they went up to the Premiership.
I wrote to Jack when the team was relegated to the First Division and told him I was thinking about him and I told him also I would never forget the pride on his face in 1995 and, yes, the tears of happiness for his beloved Rovers.
I know he felt better for me telling him that we (the fans) would see the same proud man one day again.
I have a letter signed by Jack at home referring to the words I said to him.
He was a happy man to receive such letters.
I am just amazed after helping so many people he wasn't given some kind of honour.
