THE latest examination results, showing that girls are now surpassing boys, seems to have convinced the Government that it has to redress the balance in favour of males -- nothing said when the cards were stacked the other way around.
This is a government which has gone out of its way to promote and forward the progress of the fairer sex, even to making it easier for them to achieve seats in Parliament and government posts.
One thing seems to have been forgotten is its effort to gain a more equal ratio in the Commons -- whoever is elected should not be on sexist grounds, but on knowledge, experience and above all talent. It's said that what you put in to something determines what you get out.
Examination passes are one classic example.
Good luck to all who have put in the effort and dedication to pass.
