LONG-SERVING professional Jonathan Harvey is being released by Earby at the end of the season.
However, it appears the door may not be completely closed on a return to Applegarth for the prolific batsman who's in his fifth season as paid man at the Jennings Ribblesdale League club.
The club have confirmed that Harvey, the first to 1,000 runs in the league this season, is being released with terms not agreed for next season.
"We are looking for another one, although things could change. I'm not saying they will, but they could. He has been with us for five years and he has done very well," said club secretary Keith Crabtree.
And Harvey clearly feels as though there may still be room for negotiation.
"I have been released but it's not cut and dried as yet," he said.
