PRESTON are making a last ditch attempt to get a work permit for Bermudan striker Steve Astwood.
Astwood had his application for a work permit rejected by the Home Office last week as Bermuda are not ranked in the top 75 international teams in the current FIFA rankings.
But manager David Moyes and Chief Executive Tony Scholes have been to London to put their case forward and are expecting to hear the outcome tomorrow.
Astwood has been training with North End all pre season and came on as a substitute in the game against Athletico Bilbao. Moyes had predicted a good future for the youngster.
