I HAVE a question to ask our caring council on behalf of all the residents of St Helens borough.
Why, why, why, do we have to suffer travellers?
During the last couple of years we have had to put up with these people on our school fields, in close proximity to our homes and even at our place of work. It seems that any vacant ground is fair play.
These people are a nuisance in more ways than one.
1. Their children are a menace especially around business premises. They run around causing a disturbance ringing the doorbell non-stop. When asked to stop they just give abuse.
2. We cannot park our cars on our car park at work because they take all the space. They park so close to our premises that you feel intimidated.
3. Damage done to premises and surrounding areas must cost thousands of pounds to correct. Is it any wonder that companies do not settle in St Helens.
4. Rubbish left behind which takes many man hours to clear by our cleansing department.
Who pays for all of this? I'll tell you who, it's you and I the tax payer.
It think it's high time our caring council solved our problems. Where are our councillors at times like these. Should we need to ask them to act on our behalf?
Come on St Helens Council get your act together.
A very concerned resident
