CLEEA training, which has an important presence in Bury, has been praised in a top report.
Its achievements have been recognised in the Training Standards Council (TSC) annual report of the Chief Inspector for 1999-2000.
CLEEA was named in the document, along with 11 other training providers out of a total of 340 inspected, for "offering programmes across a variety of occupations to achieve consistently high standards."
The report's recognition of CLEEA followed its having been selected for live inspection by the TSC during 1999 across all of its training activities at its centres in Bury, Bolton and Leigh.
The organisation's results were very positive. CLEEA achieved four grade 2's in construction, health care and public services, quality assurance and management and nothing less than grade 3 in other categories.
This is the second time that CLEEA, the training arm of the EEF (Engineering Employers' Federation) Lancashire, has scored highly.
When the TSC was set up in 1997, CLEEA was nominated for the pilot programme of inspections.
